DAY TRAIN

❗️ IMPORTANT ❗️

Please Note: We are not currently accepting new Day Train clients at this time.

Build reliable, real-world behavior with our Day Train program. Your dog trains with us during the day and returns home each evening, allowing skills to transfer seamlessly into your daily routine. It’s an ideal option for owners who want consistent progress without overnight stays.

Unlike daycare, Day Train is a structured and intentional program tailored to each dog’s individual needs. We focus on clear, marker-based communication, foundational obedience, leash skills, and impulse control—while building confidence and encouraging calm, neutral behavior around real-world distractions.

Over four consecutive weeks, your dog attends three structured training days per week, developing skills through clarity, repetition, and consistent guidance.

To maintain a high level of individualized attention and care, we offer Day Train in limited availability. Dogs must be crate trained and able to remain calm and settled in a crate to qualify.

We focus on:

✔️ Clear communication using a marker system

✔️ Sit, down, place, heel, and recall

✔️ Loose-leash walking and engagement outdoors

✔️ Impulse control and calm decision-making

✔️ Neutral behavior around dogs, people, and distractions

✔️ Structured downtime and crate time

✔️ Confidence building in new environments

✔️ Focus and reliability under moderate distractions

You’ll receive updates after each training day, along with weekly homework to guide you in continuing the work at home with confidence. At the end of the program, we include a go-home session where we’ll walk you through everything and answer any questions you may have.

Ideal for: Dogs who understand basic commands but lack consistency, need clearer boundaries, and would benefit from improved focus, impulse control, and structure. It’s also a great fit for dogs building confidence or those who have completed foundational training and require continued guidance and reinforcement.

This program is not designed for dogs with behavioral challenges such as reactivity, anxiety, or aggression.

To help your dog succeed, some training tools may be recommended for purchase at an additional cost. We make it easy — we can provide them directly as part of the program for convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Day Train is a structured training program where your dog works with us during the day and returns home each evening. This allows skills to transfer directly into your daily routine while maintaining consistency.

Unlike daycare, this is a structured, purpose-driven training program. Dogs are not engaging in free-for-all play—each day is focused on building obedience, impulse control, and calm, neutral behavior in a controlled environment.

This depends on your dog’s training goals and concerns. Any required evaluation will be determined after the free training assessment, and a prior meet-up can also be organized upon request.

Crate training is a key part of our program structure, helping dogs learn how to settle, regulate arousal, and build calm, balanced behavior. It provides safe, structured downtime between training sessions and supports consistency, recovery, and long-term success.

Your dog attends three training days per week over four consecutive weeks, for a total of 12 training days.

Yes. You’ll receive regular updates and weekly homework so you can continue the work at home. A go-home session is included at the end of the program where we guide you through everything.

This program is ideal for dogs who understand basic commands but lack consistency, need clearer boundaries, and would benefit from improved focus, impulse control, and structure. It’s also a great fit for dogs building confidence or those who have completed foundational training and require continued guidance and reinforcement. This program is not designed for dogs with behavioral challenges such as reactivity, anxiety, or aggression.

We can address leash manners and impulse control, but dogs with more significant leash reactivity or aggression are generally better suited to more intensive programs. Day Train is designed for dogs who already understand basic commands but need structure, consistency, and improved focus.

Lasting results depend on consistency at home—your involvement is key. We’ll guide you through exactly how to maintain and build on your dog’s progress so the training carries over into everyday life.

Depending on your dog’s needs, we may recommend training tools that support clear communication and safety, such as a slip lead, prong collar, or e-collar. All tools are introduced and used responsibly as part of a structured training process. If needed, we can provide the recommended equipment during your dog's program for an additional fee.
